I just recently listened to a podcast by Graham Cooke; “Living From a Place of Dreaming.” It went hand in hand with the things that God has been teaching me. I have been learning about the beauty of loving the Lord with all of your mind and all that it entails.  Here is a page of my journal in response to what God spoke to me during my time with Him this morning.

Lord, my very purpose and heart’s desire is to
explore and discover You. I want to get lost on the journey into the depths of
your heart. I long to set sail and travel beyond the horizon of my
comprehension, to the very ends of the earth in my mind; to another dimension
that logic cannot grasp or appreciate.

The places I have gone
as a child, Lord, You dwell there. Tastes and sights from that imagination hint
at heaven and reveal a glimpse of eternity. As we grow from children to adults
we are called to logic and reasoning and forced to sever ourselves from the
very world we were made to live in.

Matthew 18:3-5
And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

There is such a keen sensitivity
in a child that no adult can understand. There is a memory that remembers
beyond future capabilities. There are languages and dialects that a child
speaks that are plainly understood by them. The dream world is not untouched by
any means at night – their imagination limitless by day. Their faith in anyone
or any thing is without doubt and unshakable.

God is calling us back
to this faded memory of a world. He is drawing us to a realm where colors are
brilliant and you can smell the sweet air. It causes you to wonder why you ever
left.

 This world and life is
one of awe and fascination with the simple yet intrinsic things of God; a
butterfly, a willow tree, the feel of water when you swim.

I have learned that I
want to truly love God with my mind and with my imagination, for it is part of
our first command. It is not something to fear or quarantine. It is a gift from
the most creative being.

We are the created and
He is the creator. There are symphonies waiting to be written, sonnets to be
scripted, and paintings to be stroked that are found in Him. Every inspired
dance and extraordinary invention is found in the depths of our God. He
imprints these expressions in our hearts and minds because we are made in His
image. He is the source of all creativity.

Our life was not made
in a gray or ordinary environment, or by a gray or ordinary God. Therefore, it
cannot be that. It must be a life lived in the extraordinary, supernatural,
magnificent light that it represents. Our lives should reflect the God we
serve. Our entire being and movement should represent a God that cannot be
captured in words or picture.

Our life on earth
should speak of the kingdom, the heaven, and the God we are part of! His glory
can radiate out of us and tell others the story of a world they do not know of,
a realm that they cannot see or fathom!

We were made for
greatness.

We are Kings and Queens.

We reign with Christ in
heavenly places.

Let His kingdom come
here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Let us represent such a
place. Let us represent such a God.
