With the 6 month mark just passing, we realized we need to
get on the ball with this planning stuff. Although some of you might think that
6 months is a long time to plan a trip, when you are planning an around the
world mission trip to 11 different countries it seems to go by rather quickly. Suddenly, we are beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed.
To help you understand, here are a few things we must
accomplish in the next 6 months…
- Raise around $25,000 dollars! ( if anyone wants to write a check in this
amount let us know! ) - Get a power of attorney. ( Not even sure what that means )
- Write out our will. (
Who wants the Lumina!! ) - Figure out travel plans to and from training camp ( I wonder
if they could move it to Lubbock?
) - And, put together a hand full of fundraisers (This ones
directed towards you, our supporters…wink, wink).
figured we would share with you! So, if any of you have some fund raiser ideas that
would be practical, efficient and beneficial….We’re all ears. We already are planning a carwash, raffle and
a garage sale. We will keep you all
posted on when these events will happen so you can get involved!
place Friday September 17th 8am-4pm and Saturday September 18th from 8am-2pm at Raintree Christian Church, 3601 82nd Street. We are asking for your donations. We need a variety of your stuff/junk (what ever you want to call it). You know, all those things you haven’t used
or perhaps seen in years that might make us a dollar. If you
have something you think will sale or just want to get rid of we will come and
pick it if from you (as long as its in the Lubbock area) so you don’t have to
worry about much. Just clean out that
closet you have been meaning to clean out for years, or empty out that corner
of the garage that just collects dust. And remember…. Time is of the essence! So please let us know ASAP. As
always, please continue to pray for us during this time of preparation that we
might be less overwhelmed and more reliant on God and His faithfulness!
notified every time we post new info!!
