We knew that saying our goodbyes was inevitable, but we had no idea just how hard it would be. We are so blessed to have so many amazing people in our lives which made it very hard to say goodbye. We had to say goodbye to our great jobs and wonderful bosses, we had to say goodbye to our church, and the youth group that we have grown to love. We had to say goodbye to our wonderful and supportive friends (even though they didn’t want to see us go), and we had to say goodbye to our wonderful families who have helped us become who we are! We knew this time would come, but we didn’t really think about how we would feel when it finally did.

We were fortunate to take off a month of work to travel, relax and visit family. Justin took a trip up to Ohio to visit with his mom, and other family members in the area. We took a vacation trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico and relaxed, while celebrating our 5 year anniversary. We spent a week with Justin’s dad and step mom and mad it back home to enjoy some time with my family. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful family who loves us so much. Yes, of course they will miss us and want us to “be safe.” But most of all they are supportive of everything we are doing, which means the world to us.

Along with the “luxuries” of the states such as clean water, hot showers, and being able to say no and not offend anyone, we are going to miss the luxuries of being with our family, mom hugs, the comfortableness of being around loved ones, and that good home cookin’. So just know that if we are “leaving” you that you will be missed!! We love and appreciate all of you. And yes, I mean all of you. Given that you are reading this blog means that you have some connection to us, even if we have never met you. You are all playing a role in this journey. Your financial and spiritual support is vital to this trip even being possible and we know God is going to use your “gifts” to bless our trip in amazing ways.

Right now we are in the Los Angels area, visiting with more of Tiffany’s family. We have one more day of visiting and hanging out in LA before we fly out to Thailand on Thursday Jan. 6th at 9:30am!!  It is hard to believe this time is finally here, but we are excited and eager to see how God will use us this next year! God bless and next time you hear from us we will be on the other side of the world!
