Hello from Lubbock, Texas! We are the Hanes’!! Yes, just like the underwear! Get all of your jokes out now, we’ll wait……… Anyway, we are known by most as Justin and Tiffany! We are pretty exciting people so I will try to keep this short (sarcasm at its best).
We have been married for four and a half years and have loved
almost every minute of it. We have completely opposite personalities which make for some great entertainment. Although we are different in many respects we are also very similar in some ways. We are both blessed when it comes to our families and friends who love and support us every day and of course our love for one another. We are also both ready to make a change in our lives. This is where the World Race comes in to play. We both love to travel, experience new cultures, and serve others.
For the past few years everyday seems to get longer and longer with us just waiting for the weekend or something different to happen. Since we have been married I, Justin, have worked at UPS as a supervisor early in the morning and a student during the day. I have a bachelor’s degree in youth and family ministry and a master’s degree in business administration. Tiffany has been working as a dental assistant since we’ve been married and recently graduated with here bachelors degree in organizational management. While our jobs and school have been a blessing we feel it is time to move on. Sporadic mission trips throughout the past 3 years have been a great motivation and helped the monotony of our day’s here in Lubbock bearable, but just barely.
At this point we feel that we have become complacent in our lives here in west Texas. We have been looking for an opportunity like the World Race and we are excited to quit our jobs and rely fully on God. Ok, we are also a little nervous and anxious, but excited. Excited for the people we will meet along the way, excited to meet our team of Jesus followers that we will experience this journey with, excited to grow and learn more about ourselves and our marriage, and most of all excited to grow closer to God through this amazing experience.

Justin
I like to play every sport, but I don’t watch any sports (weird, I know)
I enjoy lifting weights….or at least the idea of lifting weights
I like to visit new places and meet people
I really like to watch movies….some say I have an addiction
I really like the outdoors and camping
I procrastinate in every aspect….just ask my wife.
I rarely get angry, sick, or tired of talking
I love to sleep. I could sleep all day if my wife would let me.

I love being out side, especially when the sun is shining!
I’m like a human fish, I love being in the water.
Listening to Norah Jones relaxes me.
I love food, and I mean LOVE.
The beach is my favorite place to be.
I like reading People magazine so I can get caught up with my “friends”.
I love to dance, mainly when no one else is watching.
My favorite TV show is Survivor, “the tribe has spoken.”
I love to ride the grocery carts like bobsleds down to my car after shopping.
oh yeah, and I can’t spell and it is embarrassing.
