We expect to eat new foods that make our stomach’s churn, use
every type of transportation known to man, become delirious from sleep
deprivation, constantly forget the exchange rate, bathe occasionally, and frequently
live in chaotic and unfamiliar situations.
Ok, now for the spiritual side of things….

We are reluctant to have expectations for each individual
step of the trip but we do have expectations for the overall journey.  We expect to be challenged in many different
ways by experiencing other cultures, learning more about ourselves, sharing the
gospel, learning more about our God and his plan for our life, and learning to
be uncomfortable for Christ.  We expect
this trip to truly open our eyes and our hearts to the “least of these.”  We expect to build relationships that will
change our lives and cause us to never be the same again.

At the end of 2009, both of us finished up our
schooling.  With our new degrees in hand
we were looking for direction.  Little
did we know that direction was the World Race and a year long journey around
the world.  With that being said our
expectations for this trip are in Gods hands and not our own.   We trust and pray that He will use us to
usher in the kingdom
of God through our
imperfections, weaknesses, and doubts with His perfection, strength, and love.
