Hi!!! We are so excited that you are here to follow along on our journey!!
We are Justin and Tessie! We love The Lord with all of our hearts, and we are grateful for all that He has done in our lives. We have been married for 3 and a half years, and we will celebrate our 4th anniversary while on the mission field! How cool is that?!
Some fun facts:
We are high school sweethearts.
We are COMPLETE OPPOSITES in almost every way. I guess things proves the saying, “Opposites attract” true?
We have the sweetest little fur baby in the whole world, his name is Cooper Ridge West! (Yes, he even has a middle name). He is spoiled rotten, and has blessed us with lots of vet bills due to his clumsy and accident prone self! Lol. He will be staying with Justin’s family while we are gone, and we have no doubts that he will be just fine. I can’t say the same for us though. Leaving him for 11 months will be HARD!
We are absolutely thrilled for this next season in our lives and in marriage! We would have never guessed that we would actually be doing THIS! Wow! We are so excited to share His love with people all over the world. We are excited to experience different cultures and countries, and to see how God is going to use The Race as a part of our story. We believe that the race is going to propel us into whatever God has next for us, something bigger, and even greater. Whether that is full time missions somewhere, or to come back home and take what we learn to our own communities. We aren’t sure, but we also aren’t too concerned. We are living for today, and letting God plan out our tomorrow!
We only ask for a few things if you’re reading this! We desperately need your PRAYERS. We believe in the power of prayer, we have seen God work wonders in our lives through it. So nothing would mean more than to have you pray for us in the following areas:
1. Pray for peace and confidence. (Because y’all, fear is REAL when you’re leaving everything you’ve ever known behind for a year)
2. Pray for protection for us while we are on the field, and for our loved ones back home.
3. Pray for peace for our families.
4. And last, but not least, pray for God to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think on this trip. In peoples lives, and in ours.
