So I thought I’d finally get around to starting the “about me” section……you’ll have to excuse me, I’m not a big blogger :)…….My name is Justin Warren and I’ve lived my whole life in the northeast US.. I was born in New Jersey (home of the Emmy-award winning show “Jersey Shore”) and grew up outside of Philadelphia for the majority of my life.  At the end of high school, I moved down to Maryland, where I currently live, outside of DC.  For college, I went to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (go HEELS!) where I played football and got a degree in Communications (contrary to popular belief, athletes DO study sometimes, and most of us can read…).  After that I went to grad school for a year, at a small school outside of Pittsburgh (IUP) and got a degree in Sports Science.  Since finishing school I’ve been working for a financial company and will soon be working in a bank, which makes absolutely no sense in light of my educational background!  For now though,  I’m blessed to have a job and to see what God has in store for me in the future!

In regards to family life, I grew up in a Christian home and have two awesome, loving parents and great older brother.  They have always been supportive and have given me sooooo much wisdom and guidance in both good and bad times.  In going on the trip, I’ll probably miss them a little bit, but know they’ll be praying for me.  Throughout the years I’ve gone on several missions trips with my church and most recently with my parents to the Dominican Republic.  It’s always been a blessing to see God work,  and an eye-opening experience every time.  My past experiences with missions trips and volunteering (in addition to a love for travel) really led me the World Race.  I’m excited/nervous/pumped etc. to be embarking on such a crazy journey with other believers to serve the world in the way that Christ did!  I’m also excited to see how God works on me personally and in the lives of others that I come into contact with.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
