Life before the WR is crazy/ interesting/ hectic/ awesome…. Everyone has a different situation but we all have our fair share of ups and downs. My personal situation is a juggling a full time job, fundraising, getting all of the necessary, (and unnecessary) gear purchased, trying to spend time with family and freinds, and where I have been slacking the most… Getting closer to Jesus. I have gotten so caught up in the whole adventure side of this that I have sort of drifted away from why I am going in the first place.
I get so caught up in everything that is going on, and then its like dude… calm down, you can be way more productive with a clear, and calm mind. Staying on top of my responsibilities is important, but once stress sets in, it becomes counter productive mentally, and spiritually.
God placed this on me and my heart to go be a missionary for 11 months. He will be with me every second of every minute along the way. Sometimes I just have to stop, take a step back and remember just what it is I am going through this madness for, to first help myself know the glory of our Creator, and then help others to know it.
Every now and then I like to step away from everything for a while. Whether is is for 10 minutes or a few days, sometimes I just need time to recharge my batteries, and be in silence. I need to use this time to just listen, listen to what my creator is telling me… Then use this calm and reassurance to keep it together once I get back in the chaos.
