So in part one I discussed covering our true identity with what can be simply described as “stuff”. If you answered these questions and are honest with yourself odds are that you answered yes to some extent. So now that there is an awareness of these issues, how do you go about putting a stop to this.

Vulnerability… It may be a common topic of World Race blogs because it is not a typical part of life for a twenty (or thirty) something year old. Once encountered and applied in my life, it brought about drastic changes.

God created us to bring him glory. We can bring him glory by treating each other in a manner that shows love and community.

Ephesians 4:2-3 Paul says: 2Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. 3Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

Sometimes loving one another means confronting the things in each others lives that are not from the Lord.

By being vulnerable and transparent with every aspect of my life, it creates honesty within me. If I am operating out of a position of full transparency then the people I am around will be fully aware of my life. This means that anything I don't want others to know about (sins) become more difficult to partake in due to the fact that everyone knows what I am doing.

Now this sounds great and will work in your life but there is an even easier way. If I am pursuing God in all of my thoughts and actions, and desiring to be the man he created me to be, then the transparency in community comes with that. Making righteous decisions comes with that. Elimination of sin comes with that. Pursuing God whole heartedly leaves no room for darkness.

By allowing God into every aspect of your life it will transform you into a new person, with a new heart, and a new mindset.

Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

You can spend all of your effort and time fixing just one aspect of your life on your own with mediocre results, but with God you get it all in one!

By turning to him, you will encounter a new community of people. You will be held accountable for your actions. You will be convicted of your sins and your conscience will eat you up when you make less than righteous decisions. I tell you this to tell you the truth. The purification process that God will take you through is not easy. It is hard, it hurts, and it is rebelling against the lifestyle that the majority of western society promotes. But the fact of the matter is that once you understand Gods love, it becomes the only choice you can make.

I still need $3182 to be fully funded.  I have received a deadline extention until the end of the month but I need help!  Please if you feel led to help me click on the Donate link to the left under my picture and follow the directions. Thanks!
