I knew when I started fundraising that meeting my goals would be completely attributed to God.
I did not however, anticipate how much I would have to trust Him as I fund-raised.
I have never had to raise money for something before. This whole concept is pretty new to me so I’m absolutely at a disadvantage on my own to begin with. Luckily I have a wonderful girlfriend who is a fundraising wizard! God is good!
After Jenna and I had a large fundraiser in the middle of June, I watched as I would have to trust God more and more as the deadline grew closer and I was not close to meeting it. While the fundraiser went well, it did not go as well as we had hoped. We were expecting around 100-125 people and the total that showed up was in the area of 40-60 people. God was still good though! We managed to raise $2,400 between the two of us which is awesome! But when you’re looking at $16,000, its a little daunting.
Our first deadline was last Friday, we needed to have $3,500 in our account by then.
I started out last week with roughly $400 in my account balance. After a fantastic camp with my youth group I help with, I came back and the money from the fundraiser had made it into my account along with a couple donations and I had jumped up to almost $2,500!!! That’s amazing!
However, that’s still $1,000 short of my goal.
So here it is people, I need help, I need $1,000 in my account before July 12th. Let’s do this! I know God can get me there, and I want as many people as possible to be a part of this. Please don’t miss the opportunity to become a part of my journey to follow God’s call and minister around the world!
Please let me push you, if you can do a large donation right away, by all means please do so, but if you can also donate on a monthly basis, THAT would be SO encouraging! Please see this as an investment! God is going to amazing things this next year and I want to be apart of it! Get on the wagon and let’s knock this thing out together!
Love you guys, -Justin
