Hey friends and family,
I wanted to take some time and earnestly thank everyone who is becoming apart of this mission trip. There is so much more to this than one man traveling all over the world for 11 months. This trip will be life changing for those that it comes in contact with. God is doing amazing things already and the journey is just starting. I have watched a father who missed out on his daughter’s early years pursue her through intently The Race. I have watched families get behind a son to make him feel loved and supported for leaving them! I watched a young high school student who, in front of a crowd, wouldn’t say two words, step out and speak life that Jesus has called us to speak, in front of a crowd. I watched that same boy and his father become closer because they decided to become apart of this journey. I watched a family, who can’t say they have much, who’s father leaves every week to provide for the ones he loves, step up and donate out of love, what they were able to.
All of these things are moving, inspiring, love centered, encouraging, and all of these things are moments that I did nothing to cause. From the beginning I’ve said that supporting this trip is more than simply giving me money. There’s so much more happening then I could possibly ever take credit for.
To those who have supported this trip either through prayer or through finances: this blog is my salute to you. I cannot thank you enough, I can’t show you the feelings of support or gratitude I have, but I can say that every dollar you have donated has made a difference. Because of your support, I want to, with great joy in my heart, tell everyone that I not only met my deadline last Friday of $7,500, but it was blown out of the water, resulting in a current total of $9,529!
God is ultimately the great provider, know that God provides for his children. It’s an incredible feeling watching Him do His thing. God has never looked for qualified hearts, He doesn’t look for equipped hearts, He looks for willing hearts. Hearts that say: “I’m not sure how to do what you’re asking, but I’ll do it!”
It’s a mindset that is contradicting what American society teaches us and I’m proud to have a group of people that break that American way of thinking. To the supports reading this blog, I love you all, you are all so encouraging. Not a single one of you are less important than the next. Every dollar has made a difference.
So Gods peace and blessings I pray for you. Let His wonderful works move in your life and trust Him when the outcome is clouded.
-Justin
