This month has been pretty incredible. Since we started working on the Unsung Heroes Campaign, we’ve met dozens of people who are earnestly doing the work of God. It is amazing to see that the body of Christ is stepping up to be who she is called to be.

We’ve been introduced to all kinds of amazing ministries:

·         A university ministry
·         A drug and alcohol rehab ministry
·         An orphan ministry
·         A children’s school ministry
·         A ministry that takes care of the children of prison inmates
·         A sex-trafficking victim ministry

The list is pretty extensive. And the majority of these ministries are run by volunteers native to Bolivia.
It’s true that the United States sends a ton of missionaries around the world, but what has become more apparent than ever is that the body of Christ is thriving in other nations too. Not just existing, but THRIVING. Sometimes as Americans we assume that the world will be lost without our support. But the truth is simple: God is the one really doing the work, and he is using ALL of his children to do it.

The cool thing about Unsung Heroes is that by honoring and sharing the stories of others, we honor the story that God is weaving. We are all a part of that story, because we are all a part of His kingdom. Jesus is the star and we are the supporting actors. Isn’t it awesome that we get to share in His glory?

Honestly it doesn’t make sense. Who am I that He is mindful of me?
