Can you believe that you are just a few months away from launching around the world?! How exciting! But this also means your deadlines are coming up!
First, let’s chat about your passport.
You should have your passport and have it uploaded onto your profile. If you do not have your passport yet, you need to apply for one as soon as possible. You will also have to pay extra to have it expedited and shipped the fastest way possible. If you have your passport and haven’t uploaded it yet, you need to do that today! Grab your phone, snap a picture, and upload it onto your documents tab of your profile. Be sure we can read all of the info on it!
Next, your 50% fundraising deadline!
As mentioned, your 50% deadline is just around the corner. This means you need to have 50% of your total trip cost in your fundraising summary by March 30th. For donations to process in time, the last day to make any online donations to count towards this deadline is March 25th. If you think you’ll have late donations, you’ll need to let your advisor know as soon as possible.
If you haven’t met that deadline yet, here’s what we suggest:
First take a few deep breaths. You’ve still got some time! One thing you can do is make some phone calls. Remember those support letters you sent out? Follow up with people you haven’t heard back from. This can be in person or over the phone. There are some great resources on your fundraising map your advisor sent you. We recommend following up with everyone, but start with the people you think are most likely to donate.
And remember, God is the One over it all. Seek Him first!
