Training Camp & Launch Information!!!

Here’s what we need you to do:

  1. Read this post carefully.

  2. Make plans & book your travel to Atlanta, Georgia.

  3. Update the “Travel” section of your profile! (We need this done as soon as possible!)

  4. GET EXCITED!

World Race and Parent Launch: June 2019

We ARE booking your rooms for you, and your room assignment will be available once you arrive.

Your parents will be receiving information in April about Parent Launch. This will come from our Parent Ministry team. Should your parents choose to come to Parent Launch, will also be staying at the Crowne Plaza, but THEY will need to book their own accommodations.

YOUR ARRIVAL DETAILS:

Launch registration is at 1:00 PM EST on JUNE 4TH at the Crowne Plaza. Please be on time.
You will want to eat lunch prior to starting at 1:00, so plan accordingly!

(Note: the Parent Launch registration begins on June 4th at 12:45 PM EST)

FLYING IN: You will fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Your flight must land no later than later than 12:00 PM on the 4th.

*If you arrive early, we ask that you remain at the airport until 12:00 PM.

There is a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, so you will not need to book additional travel from the airport to the hotel.  

DRIVING IN: You will drive to the hotel. Please arrive to the hotel no later than 12:45 PM.

Once you make it to the hotel…

You should report directly to World Race registration. You must be at registration by 1:00. It will be clearly marked where to go. Please DO NOT visit the front desk and ask if your room is ready.

If you must arrive early, a conference room will be set up for baggage storage beginning at 12:00 PM. (*The conference room will not be staffed and leaving your bags there will be at your discretion.)

Your travel plans must be added to your Adventures profile as soon as you make them! Go ahead and can open a new tab, book your travel, and update your profile with your travel 🙂

Please do not book any travel that conflicts with the arrival times noted above. If you have a conflict, please contact your advisor ASAP.

Here’s what you can expect after Launch:

Your launch is in Atlanta (June 4-5). Following launch, your squad will be shuttled to our campus in Gainesville, Georgia for Training Camp (June 5-15). You will be at Training Camp with 3 other squads who are launching in August. After Training Camp ends, your squad will leave for the field.
