Hey Racers!!
You wanna know, and we wanna tell you, so without further ado:
You will be coming to Atlanta for Launch on either JUNE 27th OR JUNE 28th!!
Don’t make travel plans just yet, though.
The date you will be asked to arrive will depend on your role, which you will learn more about at Training Camp.
More information about the exact location of Launch as well as specific dates and times to arrive will be available at or shortly after your camp.
We do not normally make this announcement until at or after your training camp, so why are we making this announcement now?
There are two main reasons for this.
1) We typically tell racers to expect to launch within the first week of the month of their launch. However, because we are asking you to arrive as early as June 27th, we wanted to let you know as soon as possible, since many of you will be making plans for travel, family time, and other summer activities.
2) We need you to be aware of what this means your fundraising activities. Most World Race squads have about 6 weeks between their training camp and launch to raise the necessary $7,500. Your squad will only have 4 weeks!! This means that you need to arrive at camp having raised as much of that (or more!) as possible to lessen the pre-launch stress. Trust us – the earlier you put in the work, the better!
