Let me give you guys a little holiday hope. Statistically, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is where most missionaries recieve their biggest boost in support. People like to get in their end-of-the-year tax-deductible donations and the general public is in a more giving mood.
What does this mean for you….
Market yourself. Get your support letters out THIS WEEK. Make sure to print the support cards that can be found on your "My Mobilize" tab under "Documents." Scroll down and you will see the green link. Put a tag line in your letter, "Get in your tax-deductibe donations before the end of the year."
Another marketing tool is to set a goal for how much money you want to raise before Christmas and tell people you need X-number of dollars before the 24th of December. People generally give when they have deadlines and specific amounts rather than general information.
It is possible to be fully funded before you go. The sooner you do this, the sooner you don't have to worry about it. Take advantage of this time!!!
