As I've been talking to you guys about all the awesome fundraisers you're planning, I've been making a list. I thought you might like to know what others are doing in this effort to raise $15,500. Here's the mega list.

| Mile challenge: figure out approx how many miles you'll travel on the WR and have people donate per mile. Example: 8,523 miles to travel – Nickel Challenge = $$426 | |
| Support letter/Newsletters | create a database of good examples to email out. |

| Support Video | |
| Pie/cake auction | collect a bunch of pies/cakes/desserts from family, friends, church members, etc and then host an auction. Previously each pie sold for more than $25 each…raising over $1000 |
| Tshirt signing | $1 minimum to sign a tshirt that will travel with you throughout the world. Take pics in each country as you're wearing the shirt |
| Poker Night | host a poker night. Make it a big event with food, etc. |
| Garage/Yard Sale | Make it big! Offer people to donate goods to your sale. This allows them to get rid of stuff and donate towards your trip indirectly. |
| Silent Auction | visit businesses and have them donate gifts and/or items to auction off. Have your silent auction at a fundraiser dinner where you speak about your trip. |
| 5K street race | put together a 5K Event with tshirts and prizes. Invite everybody and get sponsors to donate to get their business names on the tshirts. |
| Calendar/photo journal | put together a calendar for your race highlighting the countries you will be in. |
| World Race Shower | it's like a wedding shower, but for the World Race. Register for gear such as backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, pack pillow, etc. Then host a party and people can gift you your equipment |
| The $11 Challenge | Find 111 people to give $11 for your WR trip in 2011! |
| Benefit Dinner | Get a local restaurant to donate their catering service or have someone cook a big meal. Then show a promo video and share your heart with them. |
| Photography projects | selling photos that you've taken; taking family photos for people and having them give a donation to your WR account instead of a sitting fee |
| Selling Chick-fil-a calendars | |
| Wine Night | Host a wine night at a local winery. Wine tasting event and you share about your WR trip |
| Stock Donations | |
| Benefit Concert | have a local band play at a coffee shop or some other venue. Pass out info about your trip, ask for donations, etc. Charge a cover charge for your support account |
| Painting Sale | If you have a friend who is an artist, have them donate some of their work to sale |
| Bunko Game Night | |
| Celebrity Autograph Auction | |
| Hat & Fur Coat Auction | these items were found and donated, then auctioned off |
| Chili's night | Partner with local Chili's. They agree to donate a certain % of the proceeds for a night and give it to your WR support account |
| Softball Tourney | |
