Currently on the field we have 2 squads that are confronting support raising in two ways. One squad has 5 people who still need funds and the squad has left it up to the individual to get their support in. The other squad has 10 people in need, but their approach is different. They are working together as a whole to see each one of their squad-mates fully funded and are refusing to let anyone go home due to insufficient funds. Collectively, they have made an awesome video that they have posted just about everywhere, people who are fully funded have contacted their supporters and asked them to sponsor their teammates and so on.
I love the LOVE of this squad. What attitude will you have towards your squad? This week I have received several genuine, and sometimes tearful phone calls from W-squaders who are working through fears and barriers in their support raising efforts. I have a way that you can help these people.
Your prayers are powerful and they avail much! There are times of asking, and God encourages us that what we ask for according to his will, we will receive. But there is something else…something unique that does more than just ask. When you worship, however it is that you do that…tell God who He is to you. Is your God strong or weak? Does He provide for you or are you forgotten? Is he in the habit of giving you too much mercy and too much Grace or does he judge everything you do with criticism? Are you hated or adored?
If you are solid in knowing who He is…then you will know your provision has already come. You can put down the fear of dissapointment and go ahead and EXPECT the money you need to fill your account..to fill all your teammates accounts. Get excited about your letters, get excited about your fundraisers and efforts and the partnerships you are creating. God believes in you and the money is already there!
Target your prayers here: 30 of you are below the $3,500 training camp deadline. 12 of you are below $1,000. You have one married couple, the Mitchell's that need to raise $31,000–double of what you need to. You are probably going to get another married couple, the German's who will have to raise that same amount in significantly less time than you have had. 5 of you are almost fully funded, and 30 of you are above the $3,500 mark.
Will you be a squad of individuals…or will you defeat each others fears in prayer–warring for your teammates for them to receive the courage to ask and receive funds. Your squad is going to bring real change to the nations, and when you step foot into a country in unity…you break many strongholds. No better time to start building unity than now!
