What if the woman in the story isn’t a ‘nobody’ destined for
insignificance? What if, instead, she is a heroine destined for greatness? A
woman willing to face her greatest fears and feel her deepest disappointments
in pursuit of true love. Instead of succumbing to the desire to protect her
heart she chooses to live exposed and malleable before her Father. A woman of this stature is certainly NOT
a nobody. A woman of this stature is living out her highest potential as a
Daughter. She is willing to go places where she does not stand at the helm and
navigate her own way. Rather, she journeys by way of the Holy Spirit and operates
with a spirit of conviction that always says, “Here I am, to her Father’s
beckoning.

This is a true heroine: A woman that exposes light in the
dark places of her heart, where rejection, failure, unworthiness and insecurity
have found a home. A woman that allows her deepest wounds to be exposed and,
not masking the pain of exposure, embraces the Father’s love and approval of
her.

It’s in these dark places that her treasure is hidden. She thinks to herself, “How can this be?
No good can be found there!
 To which the Lord replies,

“I will go before you and will level the mountains. I will
break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the
treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know
that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
 Isaiah 45:2-3

She has been redeemed. The orphan spirit that once held captive
her wounded heart has been adopted.
She now lives as a Daughter of a loving Father and discovers that her heart has
been restored. Treasure has taken residence where wounds once called home.

And she gazes upon the beauty of herself and smiles. The
Lord takes great delight in her and whispers in her ear,

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
