Heightened State of Awareness…
I have had one consistent prayer during my time in the
Dominican Republic. “Give me eyes to see. Pretty simple, yet beautifully
complex at the same time. It is by the Holy Spirit’s prompting that these words
were placed upon my heart. Little did I know what the Lord had in store for me
as I prayed these five simple words throughout the day. “Give me eyes to see.
There is no other way for me to describe what has transpired other than the
fact that I was transported and transformed simultaneously.

Let me explain. It wasn’t a long process and it wasn’t even
that emotional. It is very black and white. I think Nelson Mandela’s words
adequately describe it:

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains
unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered
.

This is exactly my experience. I was transported to the
heavenly realms. I saw firsthand the war that is raging for the souls of men. I
saw angels. I saw demons. I saw myself wielding a sword. It was intense. I
wasn’t afraid. In fact, I was full of courage, authority, strength, nobility
and boldness. I began to “see. In the midst of being transported I was also
transformed. To borrow the words of the Apostle Paul, “the eyes of my heart
were enlightened (Eph. 1:18a). I have a deeper understanding of my calling. My
destiny. My hope. An artesian well of joy was dug within my soul.

I preach the Kingdom. I bring the Kingdom to earth. My
heart beats like His heart beats. My eyes see what He reveals. My voice speaks
what His Truth proclaims. I speak destiny into the lives of His people. I set
the captives free.

Several years ago I was lying in bed when I heard the voice
of the Lord. This is what He said, “I will restore the arrow to the bow.
Um…okay. I didn’t know what to do with that because I had no idea what He was
talking about. However, I was wise enough to hide it in my heart knowing that
He would one day reveal it’s meaning. Today is the day. It came through a book
that I am currently reading called, Culture of Honor by Danny Silk. There is a chapter in the book
dedicated to explaining the fivefold anointings (Apostle, Prophet, Pastor,
Teacher, Evangelist) and their order of priority. He then discusses what this
looks like in the American church.

“As I’ve been hinting, the critical flaw I see in the
American design for church structure and government, though it’s not limited to
America, is disorder, meaning that the roles and relationships of leaders are
out of order according to Scripture. The foundations and leadership of most
churches today consist of pastors, teachers, and administrators. We’ve
empowered the wrong portion of the list in First Corinthians 12 to be the
primary leaders, and the reasoning behind this decision is not spiritual, but
earthly (p. 59-60).

So what is the proper order? According to Ephesians 2:19-20,
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens
with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of
the apostles and prophets
, with
Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
“God’s household
literally rests on the foundation or leadership of the apostles and prophets
(p. 59). Why? Because the “anointing on the apostle and prophet creates a
perspective that is primarily focused on perceiving what is going on in Heaven
and bringing that to earth
(p56).
Therefore, with this foundation, the Body of Christ can be built up into a holy
temple and ultimately become a dwelling place of God (p.59).

So what does this have to do with the Word the Lord spoke to
me all those years ago? Here it is: “The prophet and the apostle can get
along famously because both are looking into Heaven and recreating what they
see there on the earth. They should work together like a bow and arrow
seeking the same goals. Doubtless, this is why
they are the foundation of the New Testament church (p.67).

The Lord is awakening our hearts and restoring our vision.
He is establishing His Kingdom here on earth in its proper order and priority.
He is going to overthrow all earthly governmental structures (this includes
anything established within the Church). Let it be known that He isn’t doing it
quietly. He is coming like a stampede. It’s gonna be loud. It’s gonna be fast.
It’s gonna be fierce. You have the option to either saddle up and ride or sit
in the stands. I would caution anyone contemplating sitting in the stands. The
day of the Lord is near.

Thus says the Lord.
