today i helped a caravan of Indians (not Native American) get to the beach. in the moment i did not know there were so many of them. i was walking down the street and a car pulled over asking me for directions to the beach. i told him how to get there, he smiled, waved thanks and drove away. all of a sudden another car passed honking and waving “thank you.” then another car passed smiling at me with fishing poles sticking out the window. a third car passed and i’m pretty sure they threw me the peace sign. then a fourth car (clearly with them) didn’t acknowledge my presence. most likely because they were so far behind the leader, they didn’t realize it was because of me that they were gonna get tan that day. no worries.

the moral of the story: helping one person may directly affect the lives of many others, whether they recognize it or not.

just doing my part.
