Here are some highlights from our month in the Philippines!

 

Filipino Weddings

 

 

Yard Work- clearing land and moving large rocks.

 

 

Washing clothes and bathing in the river! (Ended up losing my swimsuit top while washing it.. the current swept it out of my hands and I was not quick enough to chase after it…)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basketball, volleyball, and “Shred with Jillian Michaels” in the Ministry Center. World Racers learn to become adaptable and we used rocks for hand weights.

 

Rides on the tricycles. (Not meant for people 5’8″ and above, my best option ended up sitting on the motorcycle behind the driver.)

The Kuhlows for getting us connected with the ministry and treating us like family.

Needless to say, it was a wonderful month in the Philippines. We were continually blown away by God’s goodness this month. Saying bye to Xyra, she read Ephesians 4:14-21 the Prayer for the Ephesians to Traci and I, and I want to share it with you also:


“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.


Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
