As a child, when people asked me what my name was, I would say “I am happy.” This month, I feel I’ve gone back to that little girl. God has placed such a joy in my heart here in the Philippines. You know those days when you just can’t help smiling? When you feel like at any moment you could break out in laughter?

Last night I fell asleep so joyful. Thinking of the relationships we have been able to form this month, awesome conversations, and the blessing of the beauty we are surrounded by each day. Then, the other night in feedback our team was discussing previous months of ministry and how we have seen one another grow in the past 4 months. It was an awesome time of encouragement and reflecting on how God has grown and shaped each of us from the days of training camp in Atlanta, Georgia. It is so exciting to look back on that growth but also there is excitement in what is to come; how He will continue to grow us into people who better reflect Him.

“I will praise the Lord who counsels me;

even at night my heart instructs me.

I have set the Lord always before me.

Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;

my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave,

nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

You have made known to me the path of life;

you will fill me with joy in your presence,

with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”

Psalm 16:7- 11
