This morning we flew into San Salvador, and then onto Guatemala City. We fit 14 of us and our bags to a van and took a drive through the mountains to our hostel in Antigua. There are beautiful, colorful old buildings with cobblestone roads. You can tell it is a popular tourist destination because we see others with oversized backpacks and some people will speak English to us. I’ve really enjoyed hearing Spanish and am trying to break myself out of my shell and actually speak Spanish back. 🙂

It’s fun to see everyone! Crazy to think that this is the first day of our year together.

We just met with the Logistics coordinator and found out this month, after training, we will be heading back to San Salvador for ministry. We will be helping with a program called Team Challenge, leading VBS programs, helping in orphanages, possible preaching, and doing door to door ministry. I’m very excited to be working with kids, and will definitely be stretched in the preaching and door to door ministry. Our team is very excited about the next location… and now we are doing 12 countries in 11 months! 🙂

Tomorrow we have more training, team building activities, Tuesday there is a surprise activity planned for our Squad, and Wednesday my team takes our bus ride to El Salvador.

Loving Guatemala and this adventure so far! Thanks for reading!
