As it turns out, this amazing opportunity for me to serve around the world is not free in cost. I will have to raise $15,000 in order to go on the World Race. This blog is to help you understand how the money will be used if you donate and where it will be going.
Where does the money go?
As a World Racer, $16,242.60 is broken down by these categories…
Training Camp–$325
(Covers my training camp in October, I’ll meet my squad & get a crash course on World Race life)
Field Support–$650
(Helping us get supplies, local ministry contacts, etc.)
WR Development Program–$1,949
(Improvements and Developments for what’s to come in the future)
Administration Fees–$2,761
(Processing, paying the staff who literally sets up ALL of our travel, meals, missions)
World Racer–$10,557
(65% goes towards my expenses for the 11 months)
As you can see, 65% of the funds that I will be raising go towards my expenses for the 11 months. Again, let me show you through a graph what this will look like.
My budget is broken down into these categories…
Intercontinental Travel–$4,235.00
Food–$1,256.25
Lodging–$1,758.75
Transportation–$1,005.00
Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$1,115.55
However, this does not include other expenses such as:
* International Insurance
* Daily $ to live on while on the Race
** $3-5 a day is all that we can live on
* Supplies needed for the WR

India, Nepal, South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Latvia, Estonia, Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam.
Mission:
Share the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. We will build churches, work with non-profits and hospitals, fight human trafficking, care for orphans and the homeless, teach English to kids, pray with people, feed those that are hungry, and more.
Deadlines:
- $3,500 – Due 9/27/2014 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
- $7,500 – Due 12/18/2014 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
- $11,000 – Due 4/1/2015 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $15,500.00 + $742.60 (*Insurance) = $16,242.60 – Total Due 7/1/2015 (End of 6 months on the field)
