I feel like I can finally say “Im a World Racer!”
Its close to 1am at the Holiday Inn down by the ATL airport…we are meeting our squad in the hotel lobby at 3:45 AM (promptly) to leave for the airport at 4 AM.
With all our gear…with everything that we can carry on our backs ….so long as its under the legal weight limit 😉
Our flight out to JFK leaves around 8am (or 9:30…I really don’t know haha)
From there we will have a few hours layover still in the states before we hop on our 14hour flight to Delhi!!! Ending with one last flight down to Bangalore !
For our team specifically we will spend one night in Bangalore and then hop on a bus the next day for a 12 hour ride to our actual destination!!! …. We will be traveling for a hot minute haha
sooooo what does ministry for us look like this month??? Heres what we gather – the first 10 days we will be partnering with a church that has a hospital and working in the hospital, then the next 10 days we will be working at an orphanage with kids who have been affected by HIV/AIDS or have the diagnosis themselves. Its actually pretty neat that we will get both opportunities cause most months we will just have one ministry we do the whole time!
What will living look like??? Again, from our understanding : we will be using our tents, taking bucket showers, and we may have a ‘western’ toilet for one of the sets of 10 days.
We are the only team in our squad who will be in a location where malaria is a risk so prayers that none of us gets sick even a little 🙂 believe with us in the covering we are being sent out in and lets see Papa work and us come out with no health issues! We will also be about 12 hours from the rest of our squad
I tell you all this because 1) id like to document these fact type things for myself when I get back 2) I’m sure some of y’all were curious about these things and 3) we have no idea what wifi will look like once we get there so I may not have a chance to update y’all the whole month…I have no idea haha
So, I will make this promise- ill capture as much as a can with my camera and put up visuals whenever I get the chance – y’all know I love that picture taking so if its safe to do so without threat of theft, you can bet ill have it out 🙂 ill want to share these moments with you and have them for myself to remember too!
Lets believe in big things this month! Healings to break out and come forth in the hospital and the orphanage …that people would be meeting the love of their Father in deep and profound ways….that we would be like children, laughing, playing, and learning.
My team (Mountain Movers) has all just been working in agreement and we all feel the excitement as we launch out and get to finally step into this promise that Papa has spoken over each of our lives.
Ive finally gotten some time to sit with Papa these past few days and just ask about what this season is going to be…He’s just kinda given me the floor and said “what do you want? what do you want to go after? What things do you want to make your focus? What kind of person do you want to be? What are the areas you want to grow in and be challenged in?”….. I feel like He’s handed me a blank invitation and said “write whatever kinda party you want cause I’m gonna show up”
