Meet a very small portion of my squad!
Through the marvel of technology a few of us who will be traveling from country to country together got to “hang out” haha
We’ve all been using our Facebook group to meet, connect, pray, and encourage one another – and we finally got to hear some voices and see some faces 🙂 !
Signing up to go spend a year in foreign lands with people you’ve never known is absolutely not common but its a blessing being able to build friendships long before we will see each other face to face!
Our squad will eventually have about 70 people in it and from there be put into teams of 7-8 people so its no guarantee that these will even be the people I most closely live with but we will absolutely still see and know each other out on the field!
A few prayer requests 😀
- The Lord gave me a dream the other night of one of the ways I believe the enemy is going to attack me before launch. I think the enemy is going to try and speak lies about not being ‘caught up’ with everyone else…whether he will try to tell me this as far as spiritual/mental or financial/funding I’m not sure but the Lord has let me see the enemies plan now a few times and its been dead on (of course haha). I also know that he is going to use the fundraising to mess with my head.
- Another one is that I’m starting to recognize fear and anxiety about what will happen after the race (where ill live, what job ill get, etc)…which is ridiculous because that’s over a year and a half away and I am by no means the kind of person to be fearful or anxious of the future so I can clearly see that its just the enemy.
- I’m recently graduated, working but living at home with my dad and 3 younger siblings- need I say more? 😉
