This first week in Kathmandu, Nepal has been the start of a month of MORE for me and my team. A month which would be more ministry, more relying and trusting God, more surrendering, more praying, more patience… a season of moving away from the old and welcoming the new!

The first day was spent walking around a Buddhist monkey temple praying and interceding. As I began walking around the walls I could feel Gods passion for these people and his longing for their hearts and prayers. They walk to this temple and turn prayer scrolls and pray to Buddha. They also have a lamp offerring room where they light a candle and burn oil as they pray. When we walked in the room we noticed how empty it felt, but as we began to pray it suddenly felt full.

How great to know our Lord hears our prayers the minute we think and speak them. We don’t have to walk to pray or light a candle as an offering. He provided the sacrifice and ultimate offering when He took on our shame and shed His blood. He provides filling for the most empty and lost. He provides light even in the darkness. Our Jesus is present wherever we go and He is fully alive and present in us..even in the monkey temple!
