I am writing this blogpost (after being MIA for a LONGtime–since India!  Sorry!) from what I seriously consider a piece of paradise–my parents’ farm in Western NY.  I have been home for 3 days and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my family, sleeping in my own bed, waking up late and staying in my pj’s, going for a bike ride, reading, enjoying the beauty of spring flowers (tulips and lilacs), summer nights and Lake Erie views and the list goes on and on.

I’m not sure where the last four months went.  There were times that it went by verrrryyyyy slowly and other times that it was just flying by.  There are parts of my heart that wishes that I was still sitting in the red-light district of Mumbai, sweating (or glistening 🙂 ) like a pig, with precious little children playing games, singing songs about Jesus and loving on them.  Or sitting in Thailand worshiping with Alana or playing cards.  Or in Cambodia with my precious “social workers.”  Or in Atlanta doing whatever needs to be done for ministry of Wellspring.

Now that I am home in my own little piece of paradise I am planning on “debriefing” myself (all my short term team experience will come in handy for sure!), spending time with Jesus, investing in relationships that have been neglected (sorry friends!) and catching up on my blogs.  I have so much that I haven’t shared about so I plan to make the time to do so.  Better late than never, right?

So, I’m looking forward to sharing with you more about these last few months as I enjoy my little piece of paradise!
