I have made the decision to attend a leadership school called G42 in July 2012.  First I would like to post my support letter/ thank you letter.  Then I will be posting more about my decision to go, and taking steps of faith.  Thank you all for your prayers and support.  Please pray that God would continue to work in my heart and through me.

Dearest Friends and Family,

Happy New Year!!  I hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season as we remembered Christ's birth and look forward to a new year of blessings and challenges.  This last year has been one of many of both blessings and challenges, but I wouldn't change it for anything.  Thanks to you and your generous support financially but especially your support through prayer.  Because of you I have been able spread the love of Christ to 11 nations in God's glorious kingdom.  I am so thankful that words cannot express it adequately.  It was a humbling, awe-inspiring year that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I was able to minister to the homeless, the hungry, the orphaned, the widowed, and encourage those I met.

Starting in January up until November my squad (41 world changers for Jesus) travelled to Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Ukraine and Moldova.  Each of these places has its own unique set of experiences yet I often find myself struggling to find the right words to describe my experiences when people ask me about them.  I have been back for a little over 8 weeks now and I still get overwhelmed with the plethora of choices at the supermarket, almost have a heart attack when I calculate the prices of things in terms of my World Race food budget (we had just $3 for ALL three meals of the day), and I've learned how much harder it is to have a relationship with God in a place where I don't "need" to rely on God every moment of the day. It's been harder to be back than I ever could have expected but I am thankful because this means that I'll just have to work harder to see my Jesus everywhere I go and in every person I meet.

My favorite country was Nepal because of the sweet children we taught, and the spirit of love we experienced from their families.  I pray for these children everyday and hope that one day they will come to know Jesus.  I also loved Cambodia, because I was able to work with a night shelter for street boys as well as teaching English to young women who desire to bring life into this nation where both maternal death rates and infant mortality rates are high.  As surprising as this may sound, Australia was by far my hardest month because of being in the middle-of-nowhere in the Outback during the rainy season. I was confronted for the first time with feeling that I could not control what happened in my life.  I had to learn to trust that God would be with me as I "passed through the waters" that just so happened to be filled with crocodiles! The other hard month for me was Swaziland due to the high death rate and dismal predictions for the country as a whole.  It's one thing to read about starving children in poverty; its another to see them and learn that some walk miles a day for just one meal that the CarePoint we volunteered at provided to them.  My team helped me to see that there is hope among the despair in these places.

In all these experiences I have seen God, I have heard His voice and I have learned what it is that He has called me to do.  In part of learning what He's called me to my next step will be more training and mentoring.  Starting in July of this year I will be heading to Mijas, Spain to attend G42 Leadership Academy in order to have further discipleship and learn how to launch my own non-profit organization.  God has given me a dream of transforming the world through biblical community development; cities of refuge where people share everything with one another and help each other.  I truly believe that we can prevent human trafficking, genocides, and other human rights issues as well as lessen the incidence of women becoming widowed or children becoming orphaned through raising up solid communities.  By providing the light of the Gospel as well as practical skills and resources we can transform the world!!  I feel privileged that God has shared His heart with me and that I get the joy of seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus!

In order to attend G42 for six months I need to raise $6000 (for room and board, classes, transportation, fees, etc.) and roughly another $2000 – $3000 for travel and personal expenses (plane tickets to Spain and money for other basic needs).    I am thankful for all of the sacrifices you have made to help me spread the Gospel and I simply ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting me in this new work that God has called me to.
