Well, our month in Cambodia has come to an end and we are now in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia!!! It is still hard for me to believe that month to of the race has already come to a close. Cambodia was a month of transformation for me… personally, and spiritually. I was able to see things and experience things that I will always remember. Anywho, this month we (you my supporters, my team and myself) did some amazing things!
Here is a recap of what was accomplished:
– We worked with Kaleb Cambodia and the Bethlehem Night Shelter
-we ministered to some of the street children of Phnom Penh
– we taught english to young women who hope to become midwives in order to help reduce the infant mortality rates and maternal death rates in the rural villages.
– we helped do administration work for the founder of Kaleb
– We visited the families living on the streets near the river front of Cambodia
– We visited the slums on the river
– We visited the rural villages to see that sponsor children for Kaleb.
-We visited orphanages and some other amazing Christian organizations
Overall we had an amazing time in Cambodia and witnessed some awesome things that are happening there. However, there were some historical lessons which occurred and it shook me to my core. I was better able to understand the current situation in Cambodia and it helped me to minister to the people in a more meaningful way.
Photos later when we have more time to use the internet!!
