Hi everyone!  I’m Julie, some people call me Jules.  Welcome to my blog!  I’m originally from Columbia, Maryland but when I was four I moved to Colorado.  I grew up in the great Rocky Mountain state, although you won’t find me on the ski slopes.  I’m more of a hiking, warm weather kind of girl (although I have camped in the mountains the in the middle of October.)  I love children and I have a huge heart for missions and serving the lost in practical ways as a reflection of Christ.

I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2007 with my family and I have just completed my Bachelors degree in History.  I have a specific heart for Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights so I have taken classes to better inform me on these issues and help me to better serve people. I am certain that God has called me to serve  in a non-profit in this area, but I felt God was telling me that in order to show me His glory, He needed to show me the people who I would be serving on a more personal level.

I currently work at Starbucks, but I am looking for a short term position with a non-profit so I’m praying something will come up soon. I really like Starbucks, although I have worked for a local coffee shop before.

n my spare time I love to read, write, spend time with friends, cook, serve in my church, listen to the laughter of kids, play with my niece Kate, take walks on the Greenway or in the mountains, drink Chai.

A few other things I enjoy:

*Warm Hoodies and pj pants straight from the dryer
