We have had three solid months on The Race, and it is time for some changes. Big ones. Bigger than what we expected. We have heard from former World Racers that teams change throughout the 11 months due to various reasons (e.g., conflict within teams, necessary team dynamic changes, etc.). There were conflicting rumors passed around D Squad during month 3 regarding team changes. We all knew while in Honduras that our three original squad leaders, Mac Mitchell, Hope Mendola, and Caitlin Parker, would only be with us for the first four months of our Race, and during month 4, they raise up three new squad leaders from within our squad.

At the end of our month in Honduras, our three new squad leaders and team changes were indeed announced. I am so excited for our new squad leaders: Lindsay Quebedeaux, Brittany Baker, and Priscilla Gray. These ladies are deep and have so much wisdom, insight, and prophesy to impart on our squad.

LQ, Baker, and Sill

Priscilla Gray — a woman of few words, but when she speaks, listen up

Brittany Baker — a powerhouse prophet with so much humility and love

Lindsay Quebedeaux — she is a master of
intentional listening and gracely probes your heart

It turned out the team changes were much more significant than anticipated. We now have five teams versus six and three new team leaders. Hugh Roberts and Casey Weatherman remain as team leaders, and Katie Winistorfer, Missy Hollinger, and Ashley Sisk were asked to step up as leaders.

To be honest, I was not averse to a major team change because I like change and new dynamics; however, the Lord clearly wants to keep about half of my old team (Team Cherished) together still. Katie Winistorfer is now our team leader and Kate Kovach and Misty Curry remain. Our three new members are Emily Schlichting, Rose Huber, and Amanda Fackler. With these three new ladies, our dynamics are significantly different and we have a new energy within the team. Our team name is Majestic Summit. The word “majestic” means royal power, which is a reminder for our team about being daughters and coheirs of Christ. A “summit” is the highest point; as a team and individually we desire immense spiritual and emotional growth. We cannot achieve this magnitude of a climb individually; it will require a unified effort from all seven of us. We cannot forget the power of the Holy Spirit within us to advance His Kingdom internationally and grow deeper in our relationship with Him.
