As of May 2013, I have returned home from the missions base in Antigua, Guatemala. The Lord called me back to TX to rest, recharge, and heal from the emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges of international missions. At the moment, God has made it very clear I am to remain in the U.S. and live out the Great Commission here stateside. My mission journeys have been priceless, but God has brought me back home to serve in the pediatric nursing field again.

How my international mission journeys began:

The World Race (11 countries in 11 months) was a challenging and life-changing year of service the Lord unexpectedly called me to that began January 13, 2012 and ended December 3, 2012. In 2011, I prayed for a deeper relationship with God, for Him to “open doors” in my life, opportunities to serve others purposefully, community with others, and opportunities to travel internationally. He unexpectedly answered those prayers via The Race.

And the journey continues …

When I returned home to the U.S. in December 2012, I knew God was going to direct my next steps, but of course, they looked quite different from my expectations. Instead of re-entering my career as a pediatric nurse, God called me straight back out onto the mission field in February 2013.

I joined a launch team of 11 missionaries that is pioneering self-sustainable mobilization and discipleship centers in Guatemala. This ministry is being created from scratch, and Guatemala will be the first of five international centers supported by AIM. We are discipling native Guatemalan, Central American, and North American missionaries and fostering the missions community! The centers host World Race squads and other teams for ministry, debriefs, and launches and other purposes!
