Well, my last blog (posted in November) turned out to be highly prophetic …
Unfortunately, my blog-writing slump continued on with full force. Normally God gives me the written words to create my blogs, but I was incredibly dry during the last couple months of The Race. I do, however, have full intention of finishing out my blogs for Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia at some point in the near future!

I did have the best “Jesus high” I have ever experienced in my life during the first week of Malaysia, and then I got wrecked by something God revealed to me. Yeah … got broken all over again. Heart transformation sucks, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Ministry in Malaysia was cool, and I had awesome divine appointments with fellow teammates and random other people I met in Penang.

Mr. Trevor and I chattin' it up
A lot of stuff came full-circle during the last couple weeks of The Race. God provided clarity and direction about some important stuff while in Malaysia and in the month and a half I have been back in the States. Some really good stuff is about to happen in 2013!!!!!
And now, life is about to get real crazy …
At some point in Thailand (Sept. 2012), I received an email from an Adventures in Missions (AIM) staff member about an opportunity to move to Guatemala in 2013 to launch a mobilization/discipleship center for American and international missionaries. AIM is launching 5 mobilization/discipleship centers throughout the world, and the first one is beginning in Guatemala. A married couple, Jonathan and Ann Little, would take a launch team to Guatemala for at least 4 months, and at the direction of the Holy Spirit, begin fostering relationships and partnerships with ministries and resources in the Antigua area.
Of course I said, “Umm, no. I do not want to move overseas soon after The Race, and I do not want to work for AIM.” I had full intention of getting back into my nursing career when I returned home from The Race. However, since I haven’t really obeyed the Lord for a decent amount of my life, and I truly rededicated my life to the Lord in Feb. of 2011, I said, “Alright God, give me a heart for this mission, if this is something you want me to do.” But, secretly, I was hoping He wouldn’t do it.

Well, pretty much every time I tell God I will NOT do something, He always asks me to do it. It’s amazing. God changed my heart and gave me a huge passion for this mission. So, long story short, I am moving to Antigua, Guatemala on February 16, 2013 with a team of about 10 (Nathan Hatton, one of my Race teammates, is coming too!). We will be in Guatemala developing a mobilization/discipleship center that does not currently exist yet! And, of course, I will be there longer than 4 months … more like 6 – 7 months, according to the Almighty One upstairs!

So now I am kind of scrambling to put my American life back into storage, since I just recently unpacked it. I will soon be sending out support letters and prayer cards and trying to fundraise like crazy! I cannot wait to see what God does in this next season of my life! He has told me He will use me in ways I would never have imagined, and my level of dependence and faith in Him will be taken to a whole new level. Amen!

Please be praying for me and my team as we seek to further the kingdom in Guatemala!
