Hello friends, family, supporters, and everyone else who has stumbled across this blog!
The time is nearing quickly! I will soon be on a plane to South Africa! Wow! It’s come out of nowhere! It seems so surreal that by the end of this week, I’ll be sleeping under the stars in my little tent in a forest in South Africa.
Cooking rice and beans over an open fire …
Showering, or lack there of …
Using holes in the ground for toilets …
40-50 degree nights in a sleeping bag …
Baking in the heat during the day …
Studying next to a lake …
Hearing the sounds of wildlife all day long …
And, enjoying all that He has for us and riding the adventure, of course!

No, I’m not kidding! All 200 of us students from 30 countries around the world will be “tenting” for a few weeks. We’re keepin’ it real at the Harvest School of Missions and Pioneers! Seems to now be the story of my life!! =)
Here are some prayer requests, so you all can keep me covered while I am on this incredible journey!

Prayer for health and wellness (no malaria, dengue fever, typhoid fever, yellow fever, intestinal gastritis, EBV, fungus, parasites, and/or influenza is welcome here, thank you!)

Prayer for protection and safety (the international climate is not particularly hunky-dory at the moment)

Prayer for unity within our student body and high-grace and love for each other (can we please just love each other all the time!!!)

Prayers for direction and guidance in how He wants to use us on the field (not in the mood to do anything stupid!)

Lots and lots and lots of learning and growing would take place (joyful in this season!)

That my relationship with Him would grow more deep and intimate (He is the lover of my soul, right?!)
