HEY EVERYONE! Check out my awesome teammate Raquel Stewart‘s blog at http://raquelstewart.theworldrace.org/

The end of April was a very hard time for me. We had debrief in Costa Rica with Gary, Joey, Jeremy, and Kat flying out to see how we’re doing and to grow us. Over the past four months four squadmates were called home to pursue other things and another three squadmates were about to begin training to take over the position of squad leaders. We didn’t know who they would be, we only knew what this meant: team changes.

I love everyone on team Adelphoi with all my heart and at firstI probably was a little panicky at the thought of loosing any teammate, but after some prayer I calmed down. I still wasn’t happy at the thought but I remembered when I was first put on team Adelphoi; none of us wanted to be on a team together. Yet God knew what He was doing and we grew into an actual family and loved so much. I knew that if my team changed, God was in control, He knows whats best for us, and my new team will become a family. I still didn’t like it though.

That weekend I remember crying a lot, before, during, and after team changes. I knew my team would change. Jade told me she would no longer be the team finance person and Madisson kept saying “I know you’re going to be excited about your team,” over and over. I knew it would be different. Change is a good thing. We found out that Zach and Jade would each be blessing a different team; Zach would still be serving as logistics while Jade would be serving as a team leader. I am so proud of both of them and know their teams are blessed to have them and will grow so much!

The rest of Adelphoi are still together with two new additions from the team Petrichor, Amanda A. and Edwin who is our new team leader. We are so blessed to have them and are going to have an amazing time! We all changed our team names because we are no longer the same groups, even the one that didn’t lose or gain members. I would like to introduce team Abounding! Abounding means something different to each of us, such as love, grace, mercy, etc. To me, as I prayed over the team name, I received an image of a roaring lion with the word “courage,” so Abounding Courage is mine. I feel that this is something I can grow more with the Lord in.

I ask that you keep all of us and the new teams in your prayers, that we all may grow closer together in our families and bless one another, our ministry contacts, and the people we meet and minister to. Onto Thailand!
