Hello World!

I’ve never written a blog before, so since I’m new to the blogging scene, I hope this sentence really drew you in and makes you want to read more!

I’m Julia, but a lot of people call me Jules because it just kinda seems to fit. I’m an extroverted-introvert who overthinks my entire life, and thinks coffee is a nectar from the gods.

I was born in Jersey, grew up in Lynchburg, V.A., and currently live in Harrisonville, Missouri. Thats where Iv’e been the last 10 years of my life. Harrisonville is an uber small town that grabbed ahold of my heart despite my increasingly persistent efforts to reject it’s dismal, country charm. (Where kids drive their tractors to school). I deeply love the people, and I truly adore the town.

I work at a local coffee shop called “Brick house” where the words ‘co-worker’ and ‘family’ seem like they could be easily interchangeable. I love getting the privilege to connect with other people from “the Ville”, hear peoples’ life stories, and drink endless amounts of caffeine.

God spoke to my heart about The World Race several months ago, and has put missions on my heart for the past several years. While I have been on many short term missions trips in the past, it would be safe to say when God spoke to me about this trip, I thought He was out of his mind! It is so outside of my comfort zone and outside of anything that I can think, imagine, or know. And needless to say, that’s exactly why I believe God has me going on this trip.

I am terrified of leaving all that I know. I am beyond stoked to see what God has planned for me. And I am so thankful that I get to share this journey with everyone that I love. Thank-you all so much for supporting me and loving me as I embark on what I believe will be the best year yet!

Thanks for reading,

Jules
