Now when you read this you might be thinking “wow that would be scary” or you might end thinking “YES!!! LETS DO IT!!!“
Well this past month has been one of the most challenging but also rewarding months on my life!!! Why you ask…….. well let me tell you …. is because this month I really learned who I am and who I really want to be for me!!
Now you might wonder well who was the Julia that I knew before was that not the “real” one??? Well let me tell you that you knew real parts of me but who I am now is someone that I have always wanted to be and been always afraid to fully commitment to be!!
I have learned and also can say out loud confidently now that I have a voice that is powerful, strong, loving, truth giving, and important!!
I have learned that I love to love people!! If that means giving frees hugs, teaching English, playing with a pretend phone or just dancing around making people laugh it is important to me!!!
I have learned that being different and uniques is AMAZING and if other people don’t want to do what you want to do then that does not mean that it is wrong!!
I have learned that I am very strong and that when God tasks me with something that I can do it with him!! From Climbing a 15 thousand feet Volcano, teach a group of children a new song or how to cook when you don’t speak the same language, and praying with someone on the side of the road!!
Lastly I have learned that when you live in community it is not always easy, fun, or exciting…. BUT when you do go thought the tough parts you gain new family members, lots of selfies, laughs, adventures, and GROWTH!!!
Now today I can say that I know way more about myself then I ever did and I am so excited to see what else I can learn in the next months!!!
NOW THAT IT IS OCTOBER I AM OFFICIALLY IN MONTH 3!!!! CRAZY RIGHT!!! Well we are in Honduras and it is AMAZING!!! We are working in a bilingual elementary school and we are having a blast!!!!
I am still in need of fundraising support and I could not have gotten this far without you and now I just need the little extra push to get to the fully funded spot!!!!
