When the Lord tells you to share something with someone sometimes it is not always fun to say the least!!

Let me set the scene for you.

One one of our last day in Nepal all of our teams meet up in Katmandu Nepal to rest and prepare for India. One of my squad mates Taylor heard from the Lord that she should plan a worship night for our squad as well as another squad that was in Nepal at the same time.

She planed this night so that we would be able to connect, worship, and pray with each other. The other squad that was with us was a gap year squad, which is a program for young adults from the ages of 18-21. We were very excited to worship with these young adults and just be able to really talk to them about how there race is going and then to worship with them.

As we started worshiping the Lord was just speaking to me and telling me that tonight was going to really need to listen to what he was really saying and do what ever he asked me to do. I was excited to see what the Lord was going to do but also I just wanted to really focus on the Lord for the night.

After a few songs the Lord asked me to go and open up my bible and I read two different passages talking about how much the Lord loves us and how the hard time happen but we will have all the glory when we live for the Lord.

I wrote down the passages and then the Lord told me to go and read these over on of the girls on the gap year squad. I really did not want to do this. I was afraid that I would share with her and she would not get anything from it or I would be totally off!!

But the Lord reminded me of the many times that people have prayed over me and then the Lord really speaking through them. And that this could be the chance for the Lord to speak though me to speak to what ever this girl was going through.

So I took a deep breath and across the room I went to sit across from this girl that I have never talked to to share about something that the Lord had given me to speak to her. To tell that the Lord loves her !!

I started speaking and the Lord totally took over. I shared what the Lord had put on my heart to share with her and when I finished she was weeping. I knew at the moment that it was time to just share what I have been struggling with over the past few months.

From not feeling like I have a place or fitting in, to not feeling like I was hearing from the Lord, to not wanting to share my testify because of what people might think. I shared the deep and dirty parts on my testimony and told her that sharing that was one of the most difficult things that I have ever told anyone but the freedom that come from it is beyond any of the pain the it was to share it.

At this she shared that was I had just said was what she had been going through and she was asking God what she was so posed to do. From team changes, to her parents coming to the field to do ministry to, just the difficulty of community and the World Race.

She shared that not only did she ask God to send her a word that night but she did not think that it was actually going to happen. But the Lord works in AMAZING WAYS. If I would ave not listen to the Lord the night would have been very different for both me and my new friend!

This night was a night that I will never forget God worked in great ways in a very short amount of time!

So my challenge for you is when the Lord tells you to do something just do it and do not second guess it. The Lord can really use you in something that you would have never expected.
