NOW I WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND!!!!
You know when you walk on the beach and there are footprints that a left after people in the sand.
What would happen if you followed those foot prints? Do you know where they would lead you?? Or who you would meet??
What if one day we intentionally just chose to chase after throes footprints and met the person that they belonged to!
Often people talk about “what would it be like to follow Jesus when he was actually on earth” or “what would it be like to walk in Jesus shoes”.
But what if we can do that right now today!! Would you choose to do it??
Yesterday, Saturday, we were on our way to a Nepali Church which consisted in a 1 hour bus ride and a hour walk to get there. As we were walking I was looking at the ground and listening to music, when the Lord asked me, “Julia, what if every foot print that you are leaving someone followed and came to know me.”
As I looked behind me I realized that on this sandy road there was now new shoe prints that were lining the road and were not being blown away from the wind.
And I thought what would it look like to intentionally pray that someone would see all of the Chaco sandal marks and followed them all the way to the church. Is that another way that the Lord can get the attention of his lost sheep??
This made me think of the song , Every Step I Take. The lyrics start by saying, “ Every step I take I take in You You are my way Jesus”. But many time people will sing this but not actually live this out.
What would it look like if every step that you took was actually for Jesus?? Would if make you think about who you are walking past? Or what you are thinking about? Or the conversation you are having?
What you intentionally decided that what every step you took you were going to take it for Jesus. What if you footprints were left there because it could lead someone to you to tell them about Jesus??
Are they ready for that to happen??
So think about it!! What would this look like!?! And are you willing to listen to and walk for the Lord so that he can use your foot prints?!?
