Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. WOW, I am super excited about this blog and for you all to read it because I have been wanting to write about this topic for awhile, but never got around to it. But there is no more waiting, because I told myself if I keep waiting to write it ”at the right time,” it probably won’t ever get written. So, the wait is over!
A few months ago, my old team and I were listening to a podcast together about the New Covenant. It was called “The Confidence in Covenant” by Peter Louis, who is a pastor of a church called Upperroom in Dallas, Texas. I will include the link for you to listen to it yourself.

While listening to this blog, the pastor made the statement that we should keep the Covenant at the forefront of our mind and always on our conscious. This struck me— I wanted to know more about the New Covenant and what it meant to keep it at the forefront of my mind.
Recently, I have been studying the book of Romans, and WOW. The book of Romans gives a beautiful illustration of what the New Covenant means for us as children of God, and it means for us to live this out in our day to day lives.
I became so passionate about this topic that I started to pray over myself that I would live a life that reflects what living in the new covenant means. Over the months, I have started to walk in more confidence of who I am and what my identity is as a daughter of God.
I was so pumped about this topic that I just had to write a blog for you all about how the Good News we all talk about in church and during Easter is actually the GOOD NEWS!! That Jesus was/is/and always will be the Good News because it‘s a fact. It’s true. It’s REAL. The Good News is so true that it is written in the Bible and the Bible is the Word of God. And if you call yourself a believer or follower of Christ, than you know that the Bible is 100% truth and spoken by God.
So when I was reading through Romans, I kept seeing all these Bible verses that I had heard before, but never really understood the weight and truth it held. But slowly, they came to life! And the Scripture came alive, and I was able to sit in the truth that God is who he says he is. That Jesus is who he says he is. That Jesus is the GOOD NEWS. That the New Covenant promises us that we no longer live according to the Law, but that we live under the grace of God. The grace that God provides, and not the Law which God required us to live by.
This Easter season, I have been meditating on the verse, “It is finished.” John 19:30 because our battle is finished.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. Romans 8:1-2
There is Good News for both believers and unbelievers alike, and his name is Jesus.
Today, if you are a believer and you are walking in the death and shame of sin, you never have to worry because you are walking in freedom, even if you know that or not. You are FREE!
Today, if you are an unbeliever and are looking for hope in a broken world, I can tell you that His name is Jesus, and He is the Good News.
Our identity is not in our past or our sins, but in Jesus himself.
My identity is found in Jesus because of the New Covenant, and WOW, what a celebration that is!!
IT IS FINISHED!!!!!!!!!
