Hey y’all!
Greetings from Botswana! My team and I got into Kumakwane (a small village outside of Gabarone) last Monday night. This month, I am on a mega team (woot woot!) For those who don’t know, I was on a co-ed team the past three months with Mish’phhah, but for month 4 the guys on our squad our heading to Zimbabwe for man month! During their time in Zim, they will be church planting and learning more about what it looks like to be men of God in his kingdom. As much as I miss my guys (shoutout Levi and Tyler) I am excited for them to grow and further their relationships with God. SO this month, the girls of teams Wild Geese and Mish‘phhah formed Team Asha for the month of November.
I am excited to see all that God has in store for us this month!
This month, I am stepping deeper into my relationship with the Lord and myself. I am entering into a season of self-love and falling in love with all aspects of myself: the good and the bad.
I wanted to share a poem with you I wrote about what the Lord has been teaching me.

“My Journey”
We set out on a journey
to the unknown.
We didn’t know what
lie ahead; one foot
in front of the other—
we walked.
I felt the lies wrap
around my feet—
gnarling and gnashing,
they wanted to keep me in my place.
Terrified and confused,
I tredged through the muck.
I heard a voice— common
but unheard.
I knew I wasn’t traveling
alone, but then I saw her
and realized the voice,
”C’mon, we should get going.”
My self she came, hand
extended out. I took the offer
hand-in-hand,
we walked.
Slowly realizing this is the
only life I had, and I
would do anything to save it.
