Hi there!
My name is Julia Piecka and I am 21 years old. I will be traveling to 11 different countries for 11 whole months as of next August… crazy right?! Anyways, I am glad you are visiting my blog!
In August 2018, I have the experience of a lifetime to travel around the world for 11 months to 11 new places. Yep, you heard that right, 11 months in 11 countries. I will be traveling to: Haiti, the Dominican Republic, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, India, Nepal, Albania, Serbia, Romania, and Macedonia. I get to see a little bit of everywhere.
But why you ask? Let me tell you!
A few years ago, I ran into this guy on campus who was selling baked goods for a mission trip called the World Race (ironically, I am now doing it as well!) So a few years passed by, and I was in my junior year of college thinking about what I wanted to do after I graduate college. I knew I wanted to travel and see the world, but I knew I wanted to do more… I felt I was created for more.
Remembering the name, World Race, I typed it into my Google search bar last February and quickly began praying. I said, “God, if this is what You want me to do then simply lead me.” God answered, and here I am.
I knew I was meant for more, and God put it on my heart that I was meant to be a missionary. This next chapter in my life is an exciting one, and I hope that you continue to pray for me and my squad as we prepare spiritually.
