We are less than a week out from Launch, a few more days of training in Atlanta before leaving for India, so I wanted to give y’all a few more details about my Race.  I will be traveling in a squad of 53 other young adults to each country, and within each country, we will be broken up into teams of five to seven people.  So all 53 of us will go to India, for example, but then we could be in cities all over the country in our smaller teams.

Back in October at our week long Training Camp, we were broken up into teams within the squad, so I’m excited to introduce you to the women of Bold 2831.  We chose our name after Acts 28:31, “proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.”  It is our prayer for our time together as a team (which may be the whole 11 months or there may be team changes at some point during the trip) that we would be women who boldly proclaim the hope we have in God and that we bring hope to those we meet along the way.

Without further adieu, here are the members of Bold 2831:

Jenni Murphy

Our fearless team leader, Jenni hails from Colorado and is a Colorado girl at heart!  Jenni has done a trip in the past with AIM to Africa and is excited to now take part in the World Race.  She loves to spend time outside, climbing mountains and hanging out with family and friends.  Jenni will be leading our team through mazes of logistics and our months together!  Jenni is still fundraising to be fully funded!

Ana Maria Soto

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, but  moved to South Florida when she was 4 years old. She recently graduated from University of Central Florida with a bachelors in Hospitality Management. She loves to travel and arts. Her dream ministry is working and adopting orphans. She never thought she would be doing something like WorldRace but she loves to see how The Lord changes her plans which are better than she could have ever imagined.  Ana Maria is still fundraising to be fully funded!

Heather Tobey

Heather is a native to Richmond, VA (RVA), which she describes as a much like a smaller version of Portland, Oregon AKA it is full of hipsters who drink Kombucha and cold brewed coffee, wear their grandparent’s clothes, and take great pride in both the food and art culture of the city.  Heather graduated in December of 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Public Relations.  You can often find her spending time with people over coffee and gluten free treats, dancing, or singing in her car!

Julie Tuggle

Julie is from Warrior, Alabama and shares my (Juliana) affinity for Steel City Pops. Until the Race, Julie was working for her church in Alabama, cheering on Auburn, enjoying time outside, and going to concerts!  On the team, Julie will be quick to encourage, love playing with kids, and be fun to travel the world with!

Rachel Radak

Rachel was born in Springfield, MO but spent the first six years of her life in Arizona before moving to Ohio where she spent the rest of her growing up years until she moved back to Springfield, MO for college in 2006. Upon graduating from Baptist Bible College with a Bachelors in Business Management and an Associates in Office Technology, Rachel moved to San Antonio, TX in 2011 where she now resides. In June of 2013, Rachel started a side cleaning business that has since grown into a full time job with a location in Ohio! She plans to keep her business running while on the race! In her free time, Rachel loves being in the outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, YOU NAME IT! She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and working out. Rachel is most excited for the opportunity to serve women on the race. She has a heart for women who don’t know their worth and wants nothing more than to show them the love of Christ and the worth they can have in Him! Rachel can’t wait to grow and bond with her team and become a group of BOLD women for God! Her last meal before there race will probably be Wingstop if she can find a close enough location to her family in Ohio! Rachel is still trying to fund raise to be fully funded!

Sabrina Lyle

Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Sabrina moved to Atlanta on a huge leap of faith leaving everything in pursuit of better opportunities, which through a series of events undoubtedly led her to the World Race. Sabrina is an Accountant by day and spends the rest of her time working to make her dream of opening a very unique Theme Park a reality & serving on the Soul Winning Team of her church. She is a lover of Love, Penguins & new Adventures. She would be the first to tell you that being a Missionary was not the plan she had for her life but she is beginning to see that through the many obstacles she overcame, God has given her a powerful testimony, enabling her to reach people in her own unique way. Like many of us, she doesn’t know where this journey will take her but she is excited to find out! Sabrina is still trying to fund raise to be fully funded!
