So after talking with one of our fearless squad leaders, Kristen Pfund, last night I decided that God wanted me to write out the things I wanted from Him. I continue to find myself encouraging others to have relentless faith; something that I want. I also want to be a man who practices what he preaches.
Steven Furtick (Sun Stand Still, Greater) says, “If our prayers aren’t outrageous to us, there’s a good chance they may be insulting to God”.
When I first heard this I thought it was kind of jerky thing to say, but then I thought, “If my own father got offended if I asked him for something small because he could do so much more for me, wouldn’t my heavenly Father as well who can wants to do everything for me?”
After all I want to represent my Father, the Mighty King, not insult Him like some sort of rude platypus.
Seriously.
What would be more insulting than a representing Him like a platypus rather than a lion?
A platypus.
Those things are ridiculous.
I am a praying man. Since I was young, I prayed to be used by God. I prayed to be his “weapon” here; to be used to help others, thwart the enemy, and bring His kingdom in a big, flashy way. I was like 8 (and also watched a lot of Power Rangers).
I really wanted to be an active part in His work before I even realized what exactly I was asking for. Then I proceeded to live for myself for far too long…more on that another time.
So onto those prayers:
The first thing is that the original prayers I prayed back in June when I applied for the race (and began a purpose filled life) continues to come to fruition. I asked to know God more. I asked to see His face and become a man who exemplifies Christ to everyone, not just those I like to be around or those who really dig me.
The second is something I mentioned in an older blog. That is to be physically healed from my skin condition on my arms and legs. It’s called psoriasis.
It sucks.
It’s gotten a lot better after being prayed for in The Bique in January by my squad, but it still lingers. I have seen Christ heal people on my squad and in the streets both in the U.S. and abroad since training camp in October, yet still I wait. I have begun to practice thanking Him daily for healing, even though I haven’t seen it yet.
Why you ask?
Because even if He never healed me, He still deserves to be praised. It just happens that He actually DOES want to heal me, but not simply for my own comfort, but also His purposes. Therefore patience is my current lesson instead (one I did NOT sign up for…:sigh:)
Lastly, is for the anointing, favor, wrecking and funding (Deadline April 1!) for my Almighty P-Squad. This Squad is special. I know, I know. People say that about every Squad. But honestly, the lips it has come from concerning us give pretty heavy evidence that its not just lip service, but a prophetic blessing that God wants us to understand and step into.
In my eyes God has us all here for a reason and none of that includes a single one of us going home because of money issues.
We are all staying for all 11 Months in Jesus’ Name.
Basically, I wanted to put these things out there for you so that you know how I am praying and for what I feel I need to be audacious about when I approach my Father.
What are you praying for?
Is it something worthy of His name or maybe a bit… duckbilled?
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” – Jesus Christ (Mark 11:24)

I am still in need of another $1,300 before April 1st to meet my next deadline. If you feel led to donate to me or one of my team members or know someone who may be interested, please click the “Support Me” link to the left of this page or share this blog site. Be blessed. Be love!
