I am the youngest of three adorable Williams children. My oldest brother Jerrel is a 39 year old writer in Houston, Texas (my home town). My sister Jaclyn is 36 years old and is currently finishing her first book and a year-long tour of European churches. She got her second Masters from Fuller seminary last year and traveled out of the country directly after. Then of course there is lil’ old me: 27 year-old world-traveling vagabond hahaha!

I graduated from beautiful Pepperdine University in 2009 (Go Waves!) and was working as a Project Manager for Boost Medical Consulting before the race. I was born and bred in Texas but refined in California with an adventure or two in Arizona as well.

My parents are incredibly encouraging and always taught my siblings and I to follow whatever path The Lord calls you into to. This ironically has led two of us out of the country and helped my parents develop quite a bit of skill with Skype. My mother was Provost at Texas Southern University for years and changed careers and become a Clinical Psychologist when I was in high school. She also acts as the Pastor of Congregational Care at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church where I grew up . My dad is a Dean at the same university, but a Molecular Biologist and Marriage Pastor by trade. They have also been doing marriage counseling together for the past 18 years.

I am a GIANT sports fan (Houston Texans, Rockets, Texas Longhorns, LA Lakers, Dodgers, and FC Barcelona being my obsessions). The Texas teams I was raised to love. The LA teams are a result of 9 years of living there. Barcelona are just incredible. I got into soccer in undergrad and became enamored with them.

I am also a big music fan. I love rock beacuse it makes my blood race, I love real hip-hop because it speaks to life experiences. I love electronic music because it makes me want to dance and I love acoustic music because it allows me to reflect on the simplicities and beauty of the greatest things about life this side of heaven. Finally I of course dig worship music because it speaks directly to my Spirit.

Stay tuned to my blog to check out what happens as Love collides with the ordinary and changes peoples lives.

I promise it won’t be boring!
