Our ministry for the month was wide open. Whatever the Lord was leading us to do that is what we did. I asked Kallie, our contact, “What project is a priority that you need help with while I am here?” He told me that he started a trash pit that he never had time to finish. A trash pit is a large hole that they use in Africa to burn trash.

The specifications he gave for the pit were 7ft deep. The hole was already dugout to about 15 ft long by 12 ft wide, but no depth was really dug into it. Needless to say, I spent a large part of my time, 2 and a half weeks to be exact, digging a trash pit.

I also spent some time loving
some amazing kids. Most
of my time went to hanging
out with the younger kids
(the two and three year olds).

I enjoyed them almost as much as they enjoyed playing on me. They considered me to be a human jungle gym. These kids never ceased to amaze me.

God has grown my heart to be able to love more and more and to pour out what He pours. On a daily basis though, they do take a lot of patience. I see my weaknesses as a chance for God to show up and give me more of what I lack. Countless times He has shown me the limits of my human capacity and how much I cannot do it without Him.

Swaziland was one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to. It can only be compared to the beautiful mountains of Haiti that overlooked the Caribbean. The children are a blessing and have opportunities to go to school, eat, and live a life chasing after Jesus. I felt intimacy with God like I have never felt before. Everywhere you look you see God’s creation and all I could think to myself was, “Out of all of this I am still His favorite of all creation.”

Our contacts, Kallie and Charmain  were amazing hosts. They are chasing God with all their heart and are completely obedient to His calling. It is completely evident by the fact that God called them to do something radical and extreme. He called them out of South Africa and into Swaziland. He then lead them to a remote, and I mean nothing there, mountain top and told them here is where I want you to start an orphanage. They thought to themselves that no one could ever find this place, but God reassured them that He would supply everything, including the children. Now almost 15 years later they are the largest orphanage in the Kingdom of Swaziland.

They continue to chase after God’s heart and are obedient to His call no matter how tough the odds. They are struggle now more than ever. In a previous blog I wrote about people that have exploited El Shaddai for money and they never see it. Also many of there supporters have backed out to aid a new orphanage that is trying to get started.

They are now operating at 50% less of the funds that they were used to. Please pray that God will continue to provide for El Shaddai financially and that they will continue to recieve missionaries that are willing to devote their lives long term for El Shaddai. Thank you and God bless you. Jesus is Lord!!!!
