“Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked…” (John 5:5-9)
I witnessed a miracle like this one! A few days ago we were invited to Pastor Lizune’s house for a fellowship dinner with his family. We were accompanied by a long-term missionary from Mexico named Eli.
After dinner we had praise and worship, prayer, and sharing (testimonies, Bible readings, ect.). We opened up in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to come into our meeting and move mightily in that place. I asked Him to prepare our hearts for worship (something we should all do) and to move everything that is not of Him out of our minds and out of the room. I asked for a surrender over our hearts; to be focused on Him and not on anything else.
We sang a song and immediately the Spirit took over. We began to sing whatever the Holy Spirit put on our hearts to sing. It sounded so beautiful. After worship we began to pray for the nation of Malaysia to be awakened, our pastor and his ministry, and giving thanks to God for all He is and what we have seen Him do.
The Holy Spirit prompted me that we all need to gather around and pray for the pastor’s son Daniel. Daniel has had massive pain in his right leg that caused him to have a VERY strong limp for two months now. He looked like a cripple to say the least.
We gathered around and began to pray. After five minutes of praying I
heard God say, “Tell him to stand up and walk“. I told God, “But what if he stands up and nothing happens then he will doubt you?” Again the Lord said, “Tell him to stand up and walk!” I did it again, “but what about…?” The third time He said it louder than the first two times, “TELL HIM TO STAND UP AND WALK!!” Finally I obeyed, “Daniel, God is telling me you need to stand up and walk”.
His mother translated and immediately he stood up. He turned and began to take steps toward the door. His first steps look hard, but then I couldn’t believe my eyes! He walked straight to the door with no limp!! He placed his arm over his eyes, leaned on the wall, and began to weep. As tears of joy and shock ran down his face, my heart began to cry out,
“Praise Jesus!!”
His mother and father wrapped him in their arms. Tears still dripping down his face, his mother asked him, “Son is there any pain?” With no words in his mouth, he shook his head no!!! Jesus has placed His healing hand on Daniel and took his pain in an instant.
Some cried tears of joy, some were still faced knowing that God was going to heal him. I on the other hand couldn’t stop shouting with all of my heart,
“JESUS!!” “JESUS!!!” “THANK YOU JESUS!!!!”
