Our contact Jim took 8 of us to the Cliffs of Moher this past Saturday September 11, 2010: Kameron, Kyle, John, Emily, Micah, Mari, Robin, and me. IT WAS AMAZING!  We got to the top of the lookout platform and the wind was blowing very hard. Someone had the idea to spread out our jackets and jump in the air. When we did the force of the wind would blow us backwards as we were coming back down. It was crazy how hard the wind was blowing.

We took loads of pictures and spoke about God. We also talked about the hardest thing and the best thing about the World Race. The hardest thing for me is community and having to continually die to myself. The best thing is seeing the light of Christ in the children where we have been.

We left the cliffs and went into the city of Lisdoonvarna. Jim asked the girls to start on dinner and told the boys to come with him. We went out into the streets evangelizing and passed out pamplets of the Gospel. We were able to stop and talk to a group of teenagers between the ages 16-19. One of the kids named Francis, asked loads of questions. He was not only trying to see if we knew what we were talking about, but also wanted to know more about the relationship with Jesus and not the religion behind it. They left challenged, genuinely wanting to know more, and were encouraged to seek either the Bible for answers, or to pray for God to reveal Himself to them.  We then gathered around eachother and immediately began to pray for them to recieve Jesus in their heart and to want more for themselves.

We stayed the night in the RV we were packed in. The next day we went down to the beach in Lisdoonvarna and spent the next few hours walking around sharing the Gospel with people. Jim was giving us the rundown of where we should go and how we should be split into groups. Out of no where Jim pulls out a huge sign. The sign was bright yellow with large black words on it. It said, “Christ Died for Our Sins. 1 Corinthians 15:3.” Jim said, “Whoever wears this needs a lot of Faith and Courage.” I said,” Okay give it to me!” He handed me the sign and walked out of the RV. I walked down to the ocean and held the sign up for what looked like hundreds of surfers in the water. After about 30 minutes of walking around the beach with the sign, I headed up to the boardwalk. I stood there on the boardwalk as people walked by looking in amazement at the sign I was holding. People walking past gave me the craziest looks and several other just walked past laughing. I had a verse that flashed into my mind: “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18.

I stood there for about an hour or so until Jim motioned for me to come back to the RV. I walked into the RV and we talked about the people that we were able to talk to. The girls said that a couple people were down on the boardwalk talking about the idiot holding a huge sign and what it said. That gave them an oppurtunity to talk about the Gospel and what it meant. Its amazing how God can reap a harvest by the seeds we plant. I was happy because I saw the amount of people that walked by and read the sign. I knew that the words, “Christ Died for Our Sins” ran through their mind at least once and to me thats all that mattered. I had to get over the fear of having the world look at me like I was crazy and kept asking God for strength and boldness. He took all thoughts of fear away and gave me more courage than I could have ever imagined. Thank you God for being so faithful and Loving us so so so so much!!! I Love You Father!! I Love You Jesus!! I Love You Holy Spirit!! All Praise the Three- In- One!!!
